Sporting Lagos Football club have sacked first team Coach Uche Okagbue after 19 games in charge.
His dismissal follows a 1-1 draw at home to visiting Warri Wolves which left the club in 9th position on the Nigeria National League Southern Conference Group B table.
Coach Okagbue has only managed six wins, five draws and eight losses during his time at the Lagos-based club.
A club statement read:
“After carefully reviewing the team’s performance so far this season, we have decided to part ways with Coach Uche Okagbue.
“We’re grateful for his contributions during his time here and wish him nothing but the best.
“We’ll be sharing more information about the new first-team coach in the coming days.”
