Super Falcons and Barca Femini forward Asisat Oshoala has announced the launch of her academy in partnership with global sports brand Nike.
Oshoala made the announcement on social media stating that the academy will look to build upon her mission of providing access to sports and education for young girls in communities.
“I am proud to announce the launch of the Asisat Oshoala Academy in partnership with Nike football and Women Win.
“The football academy is an initiative that will build upon my mission of providing access to sports and education for young girls in our community” Oshoala said in a tweet.
Oshoala Academy will provide 30 girls between the ages of 12 to 18 with access to 90 minutes of football training three times a week.
It will also be complemented with life skills education covering a range of empowerment and rights-based topics.
Graduates from this academy will be encouraged to convert their leadership skills to make a positive impact in their respective communities.
