Yemi Olanrewaju rejoins Vandrezzer FC as the team’s new interim head coach after helping Nigeria qualify for the U-17 AFCON and winning the WAFU B tournament.
In his first interview with the VFC media, “Star Coach,” as he is affectionately known, was congratulated for his success with the Golden Eaglets and prompted to share his season-long goals.
“Thank you very much, I have actually put that behind me and focused on the next target, which is ending the season on a good note with my club.”
The Lions of Naija had set a target for the season which was gaining promotion to the NPFL, but the chances of achieving that now looks very bleak.
VFC are currently seventh on the twelve team log, 12 points behind first placed Bendel Insurance who have played two games less.
