The leadership of the Nigeria National League (NNL), have given a week break to players and officials in order to observe Eid el Kabir.

Games will now take place on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, as opposed to the previously scheduled Saturday, July 9.

Last weekend’s games were postponed due to the need to address a number of issues that have emerged as the season slowly draws to a close.

Recently, unfavorable security concerns almost made the league look bad in some cities, the Nigeria National League then wrote to all of its 46 clubs warning them not to take security lightly in an effort to stop the alarming trend.

The NNL has also emphasized the urgent need for effective security and monitoring to be implemented at all of its match venues in the current 2021–2022 season as it’d aid the safety of match officials, players, coaches, and spectators at match venues.

However, the rescheduled games will still take place in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, and Edo State on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Group A1 match DAY fifteen (15) matchup between the anti-graft team, EFCC, and City football club of Abuja will take place at the Area 3 playground in Garki, while group B1 leaders, Bendel Insurance, take on second-place Gateway United at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
