A former Nigerian international, Chukwuma Akabueze spearheaded the event as he thought of honouring the late coach who was known for talent recognition.
The novelty match which was held at the Akure Township stadium had two teams namely; Chukwuma Akabueze & Friends vs Tunde Adeniji & Friends.
Former Nigerian youth internationals honored the game with notable faces like 2013 AFCON winners; Geoffrey Oboabona, Sunday Mba and Ogenyi Onazi.
Others were Tunde Adeniji, Sunday Abe, Bassey Akpan amongst others.
