The NNL has been on break for about two weeks now and the resumption date has not be communicated to participating clubs.

Vandrezzer FC said its camp would be closed from tomorrow 31st July 2022 pending the resumption of the Nigeria National League (NNL) for the completion of matches of 2021/2022 football season.

This is due to ‘the aimless wait and uncertainty surrounding the completion of the league,’ the club said in a statement.

The NNL has been on break for about two weeks now and the resumption date has not be communicated to participating clubs.

‘After a lengthy deliberation, the VFC board decided it was in the best interest of the club to go on break and regroup when the league body sorts out its issues and decides to continue the already protracted league.’

The Nigeria National League had earlier slated the league to end on 2nd July 2022, but a series of postponements has seen the league dragged further.

The Lions are currently 4th on the group B1 table, with two outstanding away matches against Ikorodu City and Bendel Insurance.
