Daniel FC of Gwagwalada, Abuja has gained promotion from Nationwide League One Division 3, (NLO3) to division 2 (NLO2).

The club had a seamless run in the Lafia zone (Nasarawa State).

They triumphed over Paul FC of FCT, Sharp Shooters FC from Benue, and Konshisha FC of Benue to win group A with six points.ย 

According to exclusive news, the Abuja-based side couldn’t parade their best legs in the final against Olympic Hybrids due to illness and injuries.

They however got defeated in the final against the group B winners.

The team was not at all deterred by the defeat in the championship game because they had succeeded in achieving their main goal, which was to get a promotion. The team’s captain, Abdullateef Abdullazeez, complimented the players’ perseverance, hard effort, and dedication to success for the outstanding achievement.

His words: โ€œWe thank God for this huge achievement. 

โ€œWe were the youngest side here, but we ended up as one of the giants. I think this has everything to do with the attitude of us the players. We worked hard, we were determined and very dedicated to succeed hereโ€.
