The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria’s (YSFON) South West Zone has announced a new arrival date and location for the boys’ U-16 youth football competition.
The competition will now take place at Prospect High School in Ibadan, Oyo State, and will now begin on Saturday, September 3, 2022, according to a statement from the zonal vice president, Alabi Rafiu Abayomi.
Alabi wished all of the teams a safe journey to Ibadan and reassured them that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a successful competition that will support the growth of grassroots football in the South West.
”We want to assure all the states in the South/ West namely; Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti that all arrangement has been put on ground to have a tournament everyone will be proud of.
“As we await their save arrival we hope that like in.previous editions, the purpose of organising the tournament which is to develop football at the grassroots in the zone as well as encourage healthy competition amongst our youths will be achieved”, Abayomi concluded.
