Monday becomes the second Nigerian to play for Tenerife after Roosa Ariyo while also joining the likes of Rasheedats Ajiba and Asisat Oshoala in the Spanish Primera division.

Spanish Primera division side, UDG Tenerife has completed the signing of Super Falcons and FC Robo striker, Gift Monday.

Monday moved from the Lagos-based Nigerian Women Football League club after completing her loan at Bayelsa Queen.

The 20-year-old striker helped Bayelsa Queens to win the league championship in 2021/2022 while she also finished as the season’s top scorer.

The lethal finisher has represented Nigeria at U-20 and senior level after impressing at the club level. She was captain of the Falconets that won Gold at the 2019 African Games Championship, helping the county secure first place finish after twelve years.
