We didn’t know we will win but we always work towards it and we’re happy to win - Oyeniran Fuad

Oyeniran Fuad, Captain of Super Accurate FC has expressed his delight in leading his team to glory at the inaugural Seamoriow Sports U15 League.

Fans witnessed an intriguing encounter in the final of the inaugural Championship, where Super Accurate FC defeated SGH Sports Academy.

Both teams had previously played each other, with the first group stage match ending in a 1-1 draw. The final had also ended in a 0-0 draw, but Super Accurate Sports FC prevailed in the penalty shootout.

“When we started we already hoped and prayed to win but we found it difficult to win. We thank the organizers for organizing this tournament. We didn’t know we will win but we always work towards it and we’re happy to win,” Oyeniran Fuad told Sports247.

“The first match was hampered by the water from the rain which led to their equalizer, but having a final match with them, I felt it shouldn’t be difficult since there’s no rain and we can get the better of them but it turned out so difficult,” he continued.

The captain revealed that he felt disappointed at not receiving the Most Valuable Player award, but he remains unwavering in his commitment to  represent his nation.

“I wanted to win the MVP but I didn’t and I know mine would come, the goal is to remain in this line, going fully professional and representing Nigeria one day,” he concluded.
