Team Lagos has invited 60 players to camp for the National Sports Festival zonal elimination phase.
The training camp opens three weeks before the elimination which begins on October 3 and lasts until October 7, 2022.
Two teams will qualify from each region and participate in the games scheduled to hold in Delta State later this year.
Coach of the football team, Yusuf Adeshina said the invited players have already been contacted.
“We have invited 60 players to resume training with us by next week at the Teslim Balogun stadium or FIFA legacy pitch of national stadium, he told Sports247.
“Presently, we have sent letters of invitation to the club owners and coaches to release their players to join the team for the early training.
The best players would be chosen for the team before the zonal elimination, according to Adeshina, who stressed the importance of early preparation.
“We need to start preparing early so that we can select the best for the team. We won the silver in the last festival and we want to win a gold medal in Delta this time around,” he said.
