Madiba FC to face Mailantarki Care FC in the NLO Super8 final – Myleaguewire.com
November 24, 2024

The Nationwide League One (NLO) Super8 winner will be decided on Saturday when Madiba FC of Lagos and Mailantarki Care of the Federal Capital Territory face off in the final match at the Legacy Pitch.

After five days of excellent football performances and some incredible goals from the eight teams, it’s now down to Madiba FC, who were undefeated en route to the play-off final with 7 points, and Mailantarki Care, who beat FC Ebedei on a plus-three goal difference despite both teams having 6 points each after three group games.

The 2022 NLO play-off group phase held up to its reputation as Madiba, and Mailantarki Care both needed to win their final group games to secure qualification to the final.

Madiba needed to avoid losing to Aspire FC to make the final, as they had already garnered six points.

Madiba FC Vs Aspire FC

That’s what the Oshodi-based squad did, sharing the spoils with Aspire FC of Anambra.

Mailantarki Care FC Vs Kun Khalifa FC

It was difficult for Mailantarki Care, who required goals from Auwal Abba, Chimezie Gabriel, and Miko Dalha to punish a wasteful Kun Khalifa team that finished their Super 8 campaign with a point after seeing FC Ebedei defeat Smart City earlier on.

Luckily they got the job done and booked a place in the final against Madiba FC.
