The VIA Football Academy humbled the Nigerian U-23 Eagles 3-0 in a friendly match on Thursday at the Lekan Salami stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.
The Salisu Yusuf-led team played the game as part of their preparations for their 2023 U-23 AFCON second-round qualifier against Tanzania.
The Academy Boys ensured that the Nigeria U23 defence never had the chance to rest as they repeatedly threatened with goal efforts.
The Nigeria U23 team started camping in Ibadan on Monday in advance of their game with Tanzania in this month’s qualifying match for the 2023 Africa U23 Cup of Nations.
On Saturday, October 22nd, the team will travel to Dar es Salaam for the first leg match.
The team will return to Ibadan to prepare for the return leg match that will hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Saturday, October 29th.
