The 7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup’s local organizing committee has set Saturday, October 29, for draws and Thursday, November 5, 2022, for the competition’s opening ceremony.
According to a media release, signed by the Media Officer of the Competition Mark Nuhu Mabudi, the LOC has resolved and approved the draws and opening ceremony dates.
Part of the statement reads: “As we promised last week to set a new date for the draws and opening ceremony, the LOC has approved the 29th October and 5th November 2022 for the Draws and Opening Ceremonies respectively. It wasn’t our plan to reschedule these events but it became necessary because of our commitment to deliver a good tournament.
” We have put all modalities in place and are expecting a tournament that supersede the previous ones that had been held. All the teams are ready and the organizers too are ready.”
The draws will be held at the Mawato Hotel in Kaltungo LGA on October 29 at noon, and the opening ceremony will be held on November 5 at the Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Stadium in Kaltungo.
Mark added that attendance at the Draws Ceremony requires an invitation alone. Team representatives and other invited visitors must be seated by 11 am, while special guests must do so by 11:45 am.
