Nigeria National League side EFCC FC will slug it out with Nigeria Professional Football League Side Nasarawa United in the Unity Cup final on Saturday, 29th October 2022.

The Magu boys made their way to the second edition of this tournament after defeating a top gun in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Lobi Stars, 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the match ended goalless on Friday.

On the other hand, EFCC FC’s opponent in the final, Nasarawa United, won SETRACO FC in their semifinal clash 1-0 to set the Unity Preseason Tournament date with the Abuja-based team.

The Solid Miners will be playing in their second consecutive final since the competition started last year after coming up as runners-up in the 2021/22 edition against Plateau United.

They lost narrowly by a goal margin to their North-Central neighbours and will look forward to winning the title this time against a tough EFCC FC.

The Unity Cup preseason tournament event is scheduled for 3 pm at the popular Area 3 Football Field, Abuja.

Pre seasons are usually a preparatory ground to lay solid fitness foundations for a team’s success in a long football league season.
