Nigeria National League side Kano Pillars have appointed former Warri Wolves coach Evans Ogenyi as the team’s new head coach.
Ogenyi made the nod among the 31 applicants for the job as Sai Masu Gida seek a return to the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The Benue State-born coach nagged the job at the expense of a Mexican, two Ghanaians, one Ivorian, Togolese and nine other foreigners (whose identities were not made known) plus his Nigerian colleagues who made up the 31 applicants.
Ogenyi has also been in charge of Ocean boys and Lobi Stars in the past.
