Lion Heart FC has served two of its reliable and committed players, Akanbi Ayobami Akinwale and Ademola Oladejo Damilare, to the Flying Eagles.

Coach Ladan Bosso invited both players to camp to strengthen his squad in preparation for next year’s U-20 Afcon championship in Egypt.

The Coach believes adding fresh talents will help his team in February as they prepare for the upcoming AFCON tournament. He sent home 15 players a few days ago for some logistical challenges.

Ademola Oladejo Damilare, Goalkeeper with Lion Heart, will compete with Nathaniel Nwosu, and other goalkeepers in the squad for a starting shirt, while Akanbi Ayobami Akinwale, an enterprising midfielder with the team, will be proving his quality against Daniel Daga and others to stake a claim to a role in the midfield position.

Lion Heart Football Club, based in Lagos, is known for its ability to groom and establish players locally and internationally.

The club had also previously supplied five underage players to the national U-17 men’s team, the Golden Eaglets.

Club chairman Samuel Olonade, who started Lion Heart FC in Ipaja Ayobo local government area of Lagos state, had earlier said grooming players is one of the club’s core values. It’s interesting to know that national teams and clubs within and outside the country’s shores are identifying with them, which clearly indicates that the club is on the right track with its set goals and objectives.
