SGFC Athletics product Bright Eteghara impressed on his Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) debut in Kwara United’s goalless draw against Gombe United on Sunday evening.
The midfielder replaced Anthony Omaka in the 74th minute and his impact was felt immediately as he controlled and dictated play with some exquisite moves within his short time on the pitch.
Bright came close to scoring late in the game after he pounced on a loose ball inside the Gombe United’s penalty area but his efforts were well parried away by Itodo Akor in goal for the Savannah Scorpions.
“It was a difficult game, the pressure was high but I am happy with the debut and what I was able to do within the short time. I also appreciate my coach for believing in me.”, He said.
“I will continue to work hard and give my best to the club to see that we have a good outing this season”, he concluded.
Kwara United will next take on Shooting Stars of Ibadan at the same venue on Thursday.
