Nigerian forward Muhammed Tijani has described his youth club, 36 Lion FC as one of the best academies in Nigeria.

After signing for Czech giants Slavia Prague, Nigerian forward Muhammed Tijani has described his youth club, 36 Lion FC as one of the best academies in Nigeria.

The 22-year-old recently completed a move from Banik Ostrava and will join a list of players who had their roots at Lagos-based academy, 36 Lion FC to play for the Red and Whites.

Tijani did not mince words when asked about his thoughts about the academy.

β€œ36 Lion is one of the best academies in Nigeria now, Tijani said in his first interview with Slavia’s Media team.

β€œIt (the academy) produces a lot of players, and some have left their mark here like Yira Sor, Moses Usor or Peter Olayinka, who is a legend here. It produces some of the best players.”

Since leaving the academy to join Banik Ostrava, Tijana has endured a series of loan spells at Trinec, Karvina, and Taborsko.

He enjoyed a successful 2022/2023 season at Taborsko in the Fortuna Liga season scoring 11 goals in the league and one in the cup.

Tijani participated in the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup as a member of the Nigerian under-20 team.
