Benjamin Fredrick has joined English Premier League side Brentford FC on loan from Simoiben Futball Academy.

Benjamin Fredrick has joined English Premier League side Brentford FC on loan from Nigeria’s Simoiben Futball Academy.

The 18-year-old defender will join the B team for the 2023/2024 campaign.

Brentford said the deal is for one year but with an option to make become permanent.

“It is a great opportunity for me to be here and I hope to prove myself whenever I have the chance,” he said in his first interview.

Benjamin had a spell at ABS FC at the start of the 2021/2022 season in the Nigeria National League where he made his debut in February 2022. Later in October 2022, he was reported to have moved to premier division side Nasarawa United where he played at both centre-back and right-back positions.
