Spanish scout Pedro Asensio sees a brighter future for the players assessed at the Imperial Football Club Scouting Tournament.

Representing Real Murcia at the recently concluded Under 19 scouting programme held at the Beyond Limits FA ground, Ikenne, Nigeria, Pedro said Imperial FC’s bet on taking players around the world will soon produce results.

“I am seeing an important evolution,” Pedro said in an interview with the Imperial FC media team.

“I believe in the players on the project, the big bet Imperial Soccer is making on having a project will be important and to be able to take players all over the world,” he said.

The tournament drew the attention of prominent teams and scouts, such as Nordsjælland from the Danish First Division, Sarpsborg 08 from the Norwegian First Division, and AIK Solna from the Swedish First Division.

For Pedro, the objective was to identify players who are ready for the professional level, and he promises to be back in Nigeria again having identified some high-level performers.

“We scouts are looking for different players. Players we don’t find in our own origin, city or country, players who can become important in the future of the club,” he said.

Imperial FC, Dino SC, 36 Lions FC, Smartcity FC, G12 FC, Box2Box FC, Mees Palace FA and Beyond Limits FA participated in the scouting tournament.
