Four teams representing Nigeria at the 74th Viareggio Cup World Football Tournament have made it to the last 16.
Beyond Limits FA maintained a hundred percent record winning three out of three from the group phase. They scored 15 goals with the biggest win of 6-0 recorded in their first match against Italian side Carrarese.
Ojodu City grabbed six points from nine and netted about six goals in total while Mavlon FC also had a similar performance with two wins out of three games.

WHAT NEXT
The round of 16 pairing sees Mavlon FC pitched to face high-scoring Fiorentina who have netted 12 goals so far with their only loss from the group stage suffered against another Nigerian side, Beyond Limits FA. Mavlon will have to bring on their A-game to this encounter to stop the young Violas.
Avellino who made it to this round with just four points from their group will have a tall order of beating the most prolific side in front of goal, Beyond Limits FA. Avellino had lost 1-4 against Mavlon FC in their group opener before getting a draw and winning their last 3-0.
Following their qualification, Paul Ogunlaja, Sporting Director of the Tigers from Ojodu declared that the team is here to stay and go all the way to the finals. They look to get the better of American boys Westchester who appear vulnerable at the back having conceded eight goals from their last two.
Alex Transfiguration confronts a resurgent Ukranian side Rukh, who came back from losing their group opener to winning their last two with their final match ending 4-0. The Nigerians also had a similar run having lost their first and recording a win and then a draw from their final group outing.
The round 16 matches are all scheduled for 3pm on Tuesday, 20th February 2024 at different venues within the city.
