Two players from Ojodu City FC, Yahya Olayemi Subair and Stowe Sheriff are on trial at Serie D club Atletico Ascoli.

The players were spotted during the recently concluded 74th Viareggio Cup in Italy.

Ojodu City Sporting Director, Paul Olumo told Myleaguewire that the players will be with Atletico Ascoli for a week and are expected to return to Nigeria with other team members.

“They are there for one week,” he said.

“The trial is against the summer transfer window. Almost all our boys have been scouted by one club or another, and we are happy about this development. ”

“Stowe and Subair play as supporting strikers and are yet to clock 18. They are quick, determined and their finishing is amazing,” Paul said.

Meanwhile, the club’s mask man is set to complete a move to Norwegian club FK Bodø/Glimt following his heroics at the tournament. Hafiz netted 10 goals for his side emerging as the top scorer.

Ojodu City finished the tournament playing in the semis but were edged by fellow Nigerian side, Beyond Limits who went ahead to win the Championship.
