Onahi Abraham Ogbu has completed a move to Swedish Premier League club Ostersund FK from Abuja-based academy Tiki Taka International.

The 21-year-old left-back signed a two-year contract after completing his trial.

Ogbu is no stranger to Swedish football. He was with Allsvenskan club IFK Göteborg two years ago but unfortunately had to end his time due to an injury. Since then, Ogbu has stayed in Nigeria and kept up with his youth club, TikiTaka FC International.

The left full back, who was on loan with IFK Goteborg during the 2021/2022 season before his loan ended on January 8, 2022.

Stefan Lundin, sporting director at Östersunds FK: “Ogbu has been in training with us for a few weeks and made a good impression both as a person and as a player. We are getting a full-back who is confident on the ball with a good passing game that will be interesting to follow going forward.”

Onahi Ogbu: “It will be incredibly fun to now become part of ÖFK. I come to a club where the team spirit is among the best I have experienced. I look forward to taking the club back to the Allsvenskan, and am prepared to put all the power I have into it, and then some.”
