Belgian giants, KAA Gent have completed the signing of Nigeria youth international Umar Abubakar from Footwork FC.
The 18-year-old striker will continue developing with the Jong KAA Gent, playing in the Belgian first amateur division, Myleaguewire understands.
Jong Gent currently sits in 8th position in the amateur division league table.

Umar was part of the Nigerian U17 team that played at the 2023 African Cup of Nations making four appearances before Burkina Faso knocked them out.
Umar Abubakar started two matches out of the four games in the Africa Cup of Nations.
He joins fellow Nigerian, Ahmed Abdullahi who has been with the club since 2022. Ahmed joined Jong KAA Gent from HB Academy Abuja.
