Vandrezzer FC have maintained their spot in the Nigeria National League (NNL) following a nervy win over Coal City FC in their final match day.
The Lions beat their hosts in Enugu 3-2 and were hugely favoured with the outcome of the Ekiti United and Abia Comets game which ended in a goalless draw.
The team nearly pulled out of the league due to internal issues resulting in missed games which consequently saw the Lions docked points.
“We are thrilled to have secured our place in the NNL despite the challenges we faced,” the club said on its Instagram account.
“Our victory is a testament to the spirit and dedication of everyone involved within the club.”
Vandrezzer FC promised their fans some memorable moments and also said it has learned from their experiences.
Vandrezzer managed to accrue 26 points out of 22 games.
