Ablaze Football Club defender Olaleke Jeremiah has been selected to join the prestigious FC Bayern World Squad for its fourth edition.
This international program, supported by Volkswagen, gathers talented U19 players from around the world and provides them with guidance and support to achieve their dreams of becoming professional footballers.
Ikorodu-based Ablaze FC said on Instagram that 18-year-old Olaleke has been picked to join the squad for the year.
Under the guidance of coaching staff, including former Bayern striker Roy Makaay, World Cup winner Klaus Augenthaler, and Christopher Loch, the young players will have the opportunity to develop their skills and train alongside FC Bayern’s U19 team in a summer showdown.
The team will also participate in an international training camp as part of their preparation.
The program has a proven track record of success, with previous beneficiaries like Jose Milano from Colombia and Daniel Francis from Nigeria earning professional contracts after impressing scouts.
At least six of the 23 selected players last year have made their senior debut for their clubs, demonstrating the program’s potential to launch young careers in football.
Olaleke Jeremiah was part of the Nigeria U17 squad to the 2022 WAFU B Championship. He was named in the team of the tournament following an impressive performance at the tournament.
