Top scouts from Chelsea, Manchester City and other European clubs are set to storm Ilorin, Nigeria, for a three-day scouting tournament organised by the Kwara State Government and FA Sport football agency.

The event scheduled to take place from July 15th to 17th, 2024, at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, aims to uncover the hidden talents of young footballers in the state.

Fourteen teams have been selected to participate in the championship, with matches kicking off on Monday, July 15th. The opening day will see Kwara Football Academy face NA Royal FC, while Abraysports FC takes on Dolly P FC. Other matches will feature Unicorn Football Academy, Stars Builders Academy, LAYCON FC, and La Planet.

The tournament will continue on Tuesday, July 16th, with matches between Kwara Football Academy, Stars Builders Academy, SGFC Athletics, Dolly P, Abray Sports, AS Koppan FC, DOHZ Sports Academy, LA Planet, Barrier FA, and Dickalo FC.

On the final day, Wednesday, July 17th, the selected teams will face off against each other, with Team 1 taking on Team 2 and vice versa. Each match will consist of two halves of 25 minutes each, totaling 50 minutes of play.

This program presents a unique opportunity for young Nigerian footballers to showcase their skills and potentially catch the eye of top European scouts, paving the way for a bright future in the sport.
