La Planet Sports Academia has appointed Mallick Olasunkanmi as the Director of Football of the Academy.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was contained in a statement made by the football outfit on Sunday.
“The management of La Planet Sports Academia has approved your appointment as the Director of Football for the Academy.”

As the Director of Football, Mallick is expected to bring his wealth of experience into both the administrative and technical departments of the football outfit to complement its towering status.
Olasunkanmi has rich football credentials and is highly networked. Apart from being a graduate of economics, he also has a background in insurance.
The Kwara-born football administrator worked with the defunct Football College in Abuja from 2012 to 2018 before joining ABS Ilorin FC as a license officer and later being promoted to the position of coordinator, where he served meritoriously before his recent exit.
La Planet Sports Academia, an NLO division one side, is reputed to be one of the fastest-growing football outfits in Nigeria, with an array of talented footballers. The outfit boasts many graduates who are making waves both at home and abroad.
Speaking of development, the Vice Chairman of the Football Academy, Abideen Akinkunmi, described the appointment of Olasunkanmi as a round peg in a round hole.
“The antecedent and credentials of Olasunkanmi are a perfect fit for his role as the director of football.We are delighted to welcome him to the family, and we believe his appointment will further expand the tentacles of the academy,” he said.
