The Nigeria Youth League Cup has announced the 30 teams from 36 states in Nigeria that will compete in the under-19 tournament starting in September 2024.

Participating teams include a mix of private academies and academies of professional club within the country. Too in the list are the likes of Rangers International, Akwa United, Enyimba FC, Plateau United, Garden City, Atlantic Business among others.

This tournament offers a unique opportunity for young players to showcase their skills, learn from their peers, and gain valuable experience.

This exciting initiative aims to promote grassroots football in Nigeria, providing a platform for young talent to shine.

The league has secured partnerships with renowned brands such as Profixio Company, Hudi, Wyscout, and others, underscoring its commitment to developing youth football in Nigeria.

Organisers say the teams will compete in regional conference league competition and shall be conducted in selected 10 cities with a total of 30 teams participating, Two Conferences (Northern Conference & Southern Conference). The Northern Conference & Southern Conference will play a total of 420 Games with each participating team playing a total of 28 matches in a season.

The Winner of the Northern Conference & Southern Conference plays the National Championship. The prize money for Winner of the N – Youth League Cup is #40,000,000 and a Trophy & Medals from Thomas Lyte.

The Nigeria Youth League Cup is poised to become a premier platform for youth football development in Nigeria, and this inaugural tournament promises to be an exciting and competitive event.
