Beyond Limits Football Academy has withdrawn from the ValueJet Cup due to medical concerns, citing player fatigue as a primary reason.
The club’s medical team has advised against further participation in the pre-season tournament to ensure the players’ health and safety.
“After careful consideration and consultation with our medical team, we have made the difficult decision to prioritise our player’s wellbeing and withdraw from the competition,” the statement read.
Organisers of the tournament which will take place at the Remo Stars home ground in Ikenne, Ogun State have also confirmed Beyond Limits’ decision to pull out and announced a replacement immediately.
Following the development, the seniors, Remo Stars, will field two teams in the upcoming match, replacing Beyond Limits Football Academy.
Beyond Limits, FA would have been the only academy side participating in the tournament.
