FC Zurich has announced the signing of Guinean midfielder Mohamed Bangoura from Nigerian academy 36 Lion FC.
The Swiss champions said the 18-year-old defensive midfielder has signed a contract with the club until 2027 with an option for two more years.
He joined the club from Lagos-based 36 Lion FC, and has already made his mark for Zurich at the Blue Stars / FIFA Youth Cup in May. He reached the final with FCZ at the traditional youth tournament.
Bangoura was scouted in three years ago in Conakry, according to the Chief Executive of 36 Lion, Liameed Gafar who shared on his personal Facebook account.
Bangoura is part of the Guinea U20 national team squad. He will wear the number 13 at FC Zurich.
