Hafiz Umar Ibrahim has completed a move to French Ligue 1 side Stade Reims from Nigerian academy Ojodu City FC.

The 18-year-old striker penned a four-year contract.

Ibrahim burst onto the scene following his incredible performance at the Viareggio Cup in Italy earlier this year.

He attracted interests from clubs in Europe including Norwegian side Bodo Glimt where he almost completed a move but he refused to sign for personal reasons.

Premier League club, Chelsea FC also had keen interest in the player and invited him on trial but no deal was struck despite impressing, according to reports.

Ibrahim scored 10 goals in six matches which included two hat-tricks at the Viareggio Cup held in Italy.
