The Most Valuable Player at the 2024 Gothia Cup, Babatunde Akomolede is set to join Tromsø FC in Norway after reaching an agreement.

Akomolede gained recognition for his outstanding performance at the Gothia Cup in Sweden, where he notched a hat trick of assists and scored a goal in the final against Tokyo FC.
He played a major role in helping Sporting Lagos Academy win the 2024 Gothia Cup and has since been on the radar of Tromso and Hammarby according to reports.
Born in Ekiti, he began his football journey with grassroots team Bwin FC in Plateau State. He later joined Jazzy Stars FC, where he traveled across Nigeria for tournaments.
Akomolede initially played as a goalkeeper but transitioned to left-back, catching the attention of Broadcity SC after a friendly match in Lagos.
