Nigerian youngster, Babatunde Akinsola has just signed for La Liga side, Real Valladolid from Nationwide League club Valiant FC.

19-year-old Akinsola Babatunde is a talented midfielder born in Lagos, Nigeria. He joined Valiant FC when he was 13 years old. Tunde has represented Valiant FC in the TCC League and the Nigeria Nationwide League One.

A right winger by nature, he has a talented left foot that can do just about everything with the ball. In his native Nigeria, Babatunde was given the moniker “Ejo,” which means snake, for his combination of speed and quickness.
He is a skilled dribbler who enjoys cutting in from the wings. He also possesses the ability to spot passing lanes and disengage opposing defenses.
Additionally, he is a free-kick expert who typically scores from close to the penalty area. He can also curl in corner kicks for goals.
Completed the most dribbles (96), scored 4, he also recorded the highest assist (6) in the TCC League season.
National Team Experience
In his first season, Babatunde ignited the league with his brand of play and an infectious confidence, earning praises from both his team supporters and rivals for his skills.
After being scouted for the U-17 tryouts in the summer of 2018, he went through a trial with about 1,000 other youngsters from across the country.
Fortunately, the national team handlers gave him a chance to be in the squad.
Tunde represented Nigeria at the 2018 WAFU Zone B cup which served as the qualifiers for the U-17 AFCON.
He made four appearances during the tournament.
Tunde also played in 3 games in Antalya, Turkey during a UEFA Assist Tournament in March 2019.
