Super Falcons and Atletico Madrid star Rasheedat Ajibade has donated dozens of football kits to her former club FC Robo.
The forward who is currently in Lagos on a holiday deemed it fit to give back to her alma-mater where she was nurtured and shaped while back in the country as a youngster.
Ajibade reckoned that she understands the needs of the youngsters having previously been in the same position years back.
“I wish to do many more for the team,” she said.
“When I was growing up, we didn’t have the right equipment, right football shoes and all, may be that’s why God has brought us to a level where we can give back to support others.”
“God has entrusted with success, it is not just for us to be up there and not remember where we came from. Our success is measured by how much impact we make in people’s lives.
Overwhelmed by Ajibade’s gesture, Coach Emmanuel Osahon said he’s shocked by the massive donation from his former player.
“It is a very giant stride. The only I can just do is to pray. I don’t think we have seen any individual or corporate body that has donated massively to the club.”
The gears include Balls, jerseys, tracksuits for”both players and officials and lots more.
