Former Nigeria U17 captain Yahaya Danjuma Lawali has signed a four-year contract with Czech Republic club MFK Karvina.
The18-year-old made the switch from Abuja-based academy Mahanaim Football club.
“We are therefore delighted to share that he has signed a professional contract with MFK Karvina, the club said in an official statement.
Karvina plays in the Croatian topflight and are currently placed 12th position after seven matches.
Lawali who hails from Kaduna played a key role in Nigeria’s U17 squad, appearing in all five games during the West Africa Zone B Championship in Ghana, where Nigeria won the title and secured a spot in the Africa Under-17 Nations Cup in Algeria.
Yahaya contributed significantly by providing three assists and was recognised as the Best Right Full Back by the WAFU Tournament organisers.
