Coach of Sporting Lagos Academy, Shola Adegun is reportedly set to be appointed as the new Head Coach of the seniors.
Adegun’s promotion follows his successful tenure leading the U17 team, which won its first international trophy at the Gothia Cup in Sweden and reached the finals of the TCC Cup, where they finished as runners-up to Beyond Limits FA.
After winning in Sweden, his boys began their Creative Championship season with a 4-0 thrashing of Dannaz FC on Monday.
Adegun would take over from Abdullahi Biffo who was the named head coach following the sacking of Paul Offor due to poor results.
Sporting Lagos aims to return to the Nigeria Professional Football League following their relegation to the second tier last season.
