Nigeria u20 boys, the Flying Eagles have advanced to the semifinals of the WAFU B Championship in Togo after a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory against Côte d’Ivoire.
Goals from Beyond Limits’ Kparobo Arieri and Enyimba’s Clinton Jephta secured the win for the team.
Kparobo was a doubt for the match due to foot blisters but he was later cleared to play the crucial match for the young Eagles.
The Flying Eagles must secure a win in this last Group B match to have any hope of advancing to the semifinals, especially with Ghana and Niger already through from Group A.
Flying Eagles will now face Niger on Sunday in the semi final of WAFU B U20 Championship.
