The Angel Salt Foundation is excited to announce the 4th edition of the WakaPass Christmas Football Party and Champions Cup.

This annual event is a festive season inclusion program for football players from marginalized and disadvantaged communities across Lagos and Ogun State.

The one-day event will feature the WakaPass Champions Cup, music, dance, food, drinks, and gifts. As the premier grassroots football event and talent showcase in Nigeria, Project WakaPass has established itself as a launchpad for young footballers.

Angel Salt, the CEO of F8ballers Africa and convener of the Angel Salt Foundation, has been visiting the 32 participating teams since October, sharing values such as global football skills, sportsmanship, and education. Salt, a globally certified football educator, aims to empower young players with essential life skills.

This year’s event promises to be the largest yet, engaging over 1,000 male and female players in a one-day football tournament. A winning team will emerge, and outstanding individual talents will be awarded by Nigerian football legends and personalities.

The WakaPass Christmas Football Party is more than just a competition – it’s a celebration of young talent and a chance for players to receive gifts and goodies for the festive season. The event aligns with the FIFA Foundation’s mission to use football as a tool for engagement, empowerment, and education.

During the event, top football managers will scout for the best Under-15 male and female talents, offering scholarships and opportunities for 2025 and beyond.
