Former Ojodu City FC striker Hafiz Umar Ibrahim has made his professional debut for French Ligue 1 side Stade Reims.
The 19-year-old came off the bench to play 28 minutes in Reims’ 3-1 victory over Still-Mutzig in the Coupe de France.
Hafiz joined Reims in August 2024 and has been developing with the club’s B side.
He was highly sought after by several European clubs following his impressive display at the Viareggio Cup earlier in the year but chose Reims for personal reasons.
Hafiz has scored eight goals in six matches for the Reims B team in Championnat National 3, the country’s fifth tier.
Reims have now secured their qualification to the next round of the Coupe de France following the win.
