Nigeria Youth League Cup will present an All-Stars team at this year’s PLUS Stam Karel Stegeman Toernooi tournament in the Netherlands.
The Nigerian team will be drawn from the most talented players selected from the ongoing Youth League Cup across the nation.
NYLC confirmed participation on Instagram with hopes of winning the title.
The international tournament, held annually since 1985, features 12 top youth teams from professional clubs across 6-9 countries. This year’s event takes place from June 7-9, 2025, at Sportpark ‘t Rikkelder.
Some of the participating teams include Danish side Silkeborg IF who would be hoping to defend the title they won last year. The Danes have won the tournament twice, since their debut in 1995.
Others include Dutch sides PEC Zwolle, De Graafschap, Willem II, Velje BK (Denmark), AC Horsens (Denmark), AS Trencin (Slovakia) and Kalmar FF (Sweden) among others.
Meanwhile, Garden City Panthers was the only Nigerian team to participate in Ruurlo last year.
