Kogi Confluence Queens FC have denied reaching a transfer agreement with Simba Queens FC of Tanzania.
Confluence Queens of the Nigeria Women’s Premier League was reported to have transferred striker Georgewill Ibinabo to Simba Queens last week.
In response to the report, the club’s chairman, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah (Dolly), stated that the club was unaware of any deal or player transfers outside of the country.
“I want to clear the air on the recent report that we sold striker Georgewill Ibinabo to Simba Queens,” Abdulmalik said.
“It’s not true, we are not aware about the player’s move or involved in any deal ” If we do, we will be glad to announce that.”
The Chairman, however, went on to urge the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to be tougher with players who leave without permission from their clubs.
“I want to use this opportunity to call on the Nigeria Football Federation to help clubs who are losing players abroad without benefiting financially.
“Most clubs especially women clubs have over the years had players traveled outside the country without benefiting from the deal.” NFF can be more strict with their ICT he said
