The Nationwide League One said ABU Workers FC of Kaduna will now have to play their home matches in Daura Stadium, Katsina state.

This sanction comes after the clubs officials and supporters were reported to have assaulted the match day center referee in their game agianst Kano Stars FC on 28th June 2022, in Zaria Stadium.

The NLO Secretariat said it was ”disturbed with the attitude of an Official and a Supporter of ABU Workers FC during the said match, most disturbing was the assault on the Center Referee for the match who was left with serious body injuries.”

Sequel to above the NLO in line with the rules and regulations decides as follows; With reference to ARTICLE 4.07 – INTIMIDATION AND HARRASSEMENT OF MATCH OFFICIALS BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER MATCH. The match is hereby awarded to Kano Stars FC with 3 points and 3 goals.

ABU Workers FC shall pay a fine of N100,000.00 Only to NLO Secretariat within 7 days (Commencing from today 1st July 2022) 1. Mr Muhammad Sunusi the Team Manager of ABU Workers FC is hereby suspended from participating in the League indefinately (NFF Shall be communicated)

Mr Abdulfatai A. Lawal is also banned from any league match venue in Nigeria (NFF shall be communicated) ABU Workers FC has been banished to Daura Stadium Katsina State for 3 home matches

The NLO Secretariat hereby advise the assaulted Center Referee to report the incidence at the nearest police station for prosecution.
