Super Falcons and FC Robo youngster, Gift Monday has expressed her delight in getting nominated for two 2022 CAF Awards.
The NWFL star had a stellar season with FC Robo and Bayelsa Queens where she spent the playoffs.
Her goal scoring ability was seen by football loving Nigerians as she singlehandedly led Bayelsa Queens to the 2022 league title with 12 goals and earning the Most Valuable Player award.
The 20-year-old on her Twitter page revealed that she is overwhelmed and never thought this would come so soon.
“Wow, I’m speechless and so overwhelmed. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I would be shortlisted, let alone of getting double nominations. I’m grateful to God and honoured for this incredible and generous recognition. This is for you all supporting me”
She was named in a 10-woman nominee list for the Young Player of the Year award alongside Flourish Sebastian.
The Super Falcons forward was also named in the 20-woman list for CAF’s Interclub Player of the Year.
