Nigeria’s campaign at the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica began on a good note as they defeated France 1-0 in their Group D opener.

UNNICH Sports Club graduate, Flourish Sabastine scored the game’s lone goal late in the second half to give Nigeria the three points.
