Daniel Aiyenugba played the role of a hero in Kwara Football Academy’s victory at the 15th Kwara Commissioner of Police Cup.
The U-17 final which was played between La Planet Academia and Kwara Football Academy was the most anticipated game of the day.
The game afternoon regulation time ended goalless and went straight into penalty shootout.
Aiyenugba went on to save two penalty kicks, leading his side a 3-2 win that crowned them as the champions of the tournament.
Daniel is the son of former Super Eagles of Nigeria and Kwara United goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba.
Sunrise Football Academy defeated Kwara Football Academy by a lone goal to win the U-13 category.
In the female final, Abruka Queens were declared Champions after defeating Winning Stars Football Club of Omu-Aran 4-2.
