Platinum Football Club has engraved its name in history books, by winning the 2022 Imo State Football Association league.
The Oke Ovoro Mbaise-based side has also earned Imo State’s sole ticket to the NLO Division 3 zonal play-off in Enugu State.
The vice chairman of the Aboh Mbaise Football Association who also doubles as the team’s general manager, Mr. Amaechi John, said he intended to play in the Federation Cup. Onwunali suggested that they should start in the state league.
He also said that he doesn’t regret the suggestion as it enabled them to represent the state.
The football administrator continued by pleading with the good citizens of the state for financial support so that he and the players can carry out the mission at hand and help end local youth unrest.
The team participated in four league games, winning three and drawing one to claim victory.
