The management of Katsina United have invited 120 players for a talent search and screening exercise for footballers from all 34 Local Government areas of Katsina State.
According to Sports247, the screening process is set to take place at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina from Wednesday, September 28, to Friday, October 6, 2022.
The goal of the screening exercise is to restructure the team and offer the players from the state greater opportunities and playing time.
All invited Players will be fed and housed, according to the Club Director of Football Development.
Therefore, it is expected of the invited athletes to act with sportsmanship and discipline during the screening process.
The management revealed that the screening process will be impartial and merit-based.
They also expressed their gratitude to the state’s sports commissioner, Dr. Bishir Gambo Saulawa, for giving state-based players a chance to showcase their talent. They claimed that this would significantly enhance both the players’ performances and the growth of football as a whole.
