He previously served as the Technical Assistant to Coach Gbenga Ogunbote, the Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club. Additionally, from 2017 to 2020, he held the role of Technical Adviser for the TikiTaka Nigeria Team.

He guided TikiTaka to two finals, emerging victorious in one and narrowly missing out in the other, facing the formidable Right To Dream U-17 side that featured Ghanaian International and current West Ham star, Muhammed Kudus.

The academy announced on social media that the Obafemi Awolowo University will now lead their team.

Dele served as the Technical Adviser to Stationery Stores in 2019. He has an extensive history of working in various technical and administrative capacities with numerous clubs, including roles as a Physical Trainer for Sunshine Stars, a Player and Match Scout for Lobi Stars, and the Coordinator of the OSFA academy, among others.

Coach Dele is highly regarded for his role in nurturing talented players who have gone on to excel in top leagues around the world. Some notable names that have benefited from his guidance include Alhassan Yusuf, currently playing for Royal Antwerp in Belgium, Tolulope Ojo of Pyramid FC in Egypt, Bello Babatunde Martins at Future FC in Egypt, and Sadiq Awujola representing Smouha in Egypt.

Seyi Amos, the CEO of Seamoriow Sports Ltd, expressed the Academy’s rationale for choosing Coach Olagbaju as the Technical Director, Nigeriasportsnews reports. According to Amos, their vision is to cultivate one of the most talented groups of players within their football Academy. They are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of excellence in all their endeavours. Therefore, when selecting a Technical Director and consultant for the Academy, they sought an individual with a proven track record in youth football development. Coach Olagbaju’s impressive resume aligns perfectly with their ambitions.

Amos said: “We aspire for our football academy to stand among the best in West Africa and, by extension, Africa within a few years. It is crucial that the foundation for achieving this goal is well-structured, which is why we opted for an individual with a history of success in youth football development. This is why we have chosen him,” he concluded.
